Privacy Policy

1. Information We Collect

Everything we collect about you, you type in yourself. We do not ask you to create an account and we never ask for payment information.

The form also contains a field that is hidden from you and that a person cannot fill in, and it measures how much time passed between the page loading and the form being sent. Both signals serve one purpose only: telling an automated submission apart from a real visitor. Neither is used to evaluate you.

We do not collect sensitive information, and we ask you not to put any in your message — health, financial or identity-document details, for example. If you send them anyway, they are handled like the rest of your message.

• Your name — so we know who we are replying to.
• Your email address — this is where our reply is sent.
• Your phone number — optional. You can leave it blank and still send the form.
• Your message — free text. If you started from a property page, the reference of that property is sent along with it.
• Your IP address — recorded when the form is submitted and used only to limit how many messages can be sent from the same connection in a short period. We do not use it to identify you, build a profile, or follow you around the site.

2. How We Use Your Information, and How to Refuse

We use your information for a single purpose: to read your enquiry and reply to it, and to continue the exchange if you want to.

We do not use it for marketing, newsletters, advertising, profiling or automated decision-making, and we never sell, rent or trade it.

How to refuse: sending the form is entirely voluntary and no part of this website requires it. You give your consent by ticking the consent box and sending the form; if you do not tick it, nothing is sent. You may write to privacy@own-greece.com instead of using the form, and the phone field may be left blank.

Withdrawing later: if you have already written to us and change your mind, write to privacy@own-greece.com. We will stop using your information and delete what remains in our mailbox.

• Identification and contact information (name, email address, phone number) — to reply to you and continue the exchange.
• The content of your message, including any property reference — to understand what you are asking about and answer it.
• Technical information (IP address, anti-spam signals) — to protect the form against automated abuse.

3. Who Can Access Your Information, and How We Protect It

There is no application database behind this website. Your message is not written to a database, a customer-relationship tool or a spreadsheet. It exists in two places only: the enquiry mailbox that receives it, which is operated by PLATAION 51 Single Member S.A. (trading as V² Development) in Greece, and the transactional delivery log of Resend, the service that carries the email.

Inside our organisation, the following categories of personnel can access your information, and only for the purposes above. No one else is given routine access.

Outside our organisation, two recipients are involved. The first is PLATAION 51 Single Member S.A. (trading as V² Development), the Greek company that builds and sells the properties presented on this site, registered at Leoforos Vouliagmenis 70, 167 77 Elliniko, Greece. Your enquiry is delivered to its enquiry mailbox so that it can answer you, so it receives your name, email address, phone number and message. The second is Resend, our transactional email provider, which carries that message for the sole purpose of delivering it and which keeps a log of the delivery. We do not communicate your information to anyone else, except where the law requires it — for example in response to a valid order from a court or another authority with jurisdiction.

Technical measures: the site is served over HTTPS, so what you type is encrypted in transit; the sending credentials are held as server-side secrets and are never exposed to your browser; access to the mailbox and to the email provider account is restricted to the people described above and protected by authentication controls; the form is rate-limited and protected by the anti-spam signals described in section 1.

Physical measures: we keep no paper copies of enquiries. The mailbox and the provider's delivery log are hosted in those providers' secured data centres rather than on office equipment.

Administrative measures: access is granted on a need-to-know basis and only for the purposes described here, it is withdrawn when a person's role changes, and the people who hold it are informed of their confidentiality obligations.

• Client-relations staff at V² Development who monitor the enquiry mailbox — they read your message and reply to it.
• The website's technical administrator — can consult the email provider's delivery log when operating or troubleshooting the form.
• The person responsible for the protection of personal information — only when handling a request or a complaint.

4. Communication Outside Quebec

Your message does not stay in Quebec. We tell you this before you send it, as section 8 of the Quebec Act requires and as the federal guidance on transfers for processing expects.

The email is delivered by Resend, a company established in the United States. Your name, email address, phone number and the content of your message therefore pass through, and are logged on, infrastructure operated from the United States.

The mailbox that receives your enquiry is operated in Greece, a member state of the European Union, by PLATAION 51 Single Member S.A. (trading as V² Development), the company that builds and sells the properties we present, registered at Leoforos Vouliagmenis 70, 167 77 Elliniko, Greece. Your message is therefore communicated to that company, and read and kept in Greece — not only by us.

The laws of those countries are not the laws of Quebec, and the protection they give to personal information is not identical. In particular, information held in the United States may be accessible to United States government authorities under United States law, including for law-enforcement and national-security purposes, and we are not in a position to prevent that.

If that is not acceptable to you, please do not send the form.

5. Your Rights of Access, Correction and Withdrawal

The law gives you rights over the personal information we hold about you. You may:

• ask for access to the information we hold about you and receive a copy of it;
• ask for it to be corrected if it is inaccurate, incomplete or ambiguous;
• withdraw your consent at any time, which means we stop using your information and delete what we still hold;
• ask for the information to be deleted where the law allows it;
• ask to receive, in a structured and commonly used technological format, the computerised information you provided to us.

To exercise any of these rights, write to privacy@own-greece.com. Tell us what you are asking for and give us enough detail to find your message — the email address you wrote from and the approximate date are usually enough. We may need to confirm that you are the person concerned before we act.

We must answer you within 30 days of receiving your request, and our answer is free of charge. If we refuse a request, we will tell you why, tell you which provision of the law we are relying on, and tell you that you may ask the Commission d'accès à l'information du Québec to review that decision.

One limitation you should know about: because your message lives in a mailbox and in our email provider's delivery log, deleting it from the mailbox does not by itself erase the provider's log entry, which is retained according to that provider's own retention practices. We will tell you plainly what we can and cannot remove.

6. Contacting Us and Making a Complaint

The person responsible for the protection of personal information at OwnGreece can be reached at privacy@own-greece.com. Use that address for any question about this policy, any request concerning your rights, and any complaint about how your information has been handled.

We will acknowledge a complaint and tell you the outcome of our review.

If our answer does not satisfy you — or if we do not answer — you may complain to the Commission d'accès à l'information du Québec (cai.gouv.qc.ca), which oversees the Quebec Act. If your situation falls under the federal law instead, you may complain to the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada (priv.gc.ca).

Changes: this policy carries a version number and a date, both shown at the top of this page. If we change the way enquiries are handled, we will publish an updated version here.
